The biggest issue facing our world today is global warming. According to the World Wild Life, "From more frequent and extreme storms to unprecedented heatwaves, we’re feeling the impacts of human-caused global warming." If we don't act now, global warming can lead to many other major problems that will affect our world, such as sea - level rising, coral bleaching, heat waves, flooding, and much more. Everyone and everything will be impacted if global warming continues to worsen.

The biggest issue facing our world today is the global food crisis. Although there is enough food for everyone in the world, the problem is that it's difficult to distribute the food. According to World Food Program USA, some reasons why food distribution can be difficult are "extreme weather, food waste, and conflict." This is a huge problem because hunger and malnutrition result in less productive people who are more prone to disease. The longer world hunger remains, the longer the economies of countries with low amounts of arable land will linger (farming is hard in these kinds of countries).

Although the global food crisis is an ongoing issue, global warming is a more urgent and significant issue that our world is facing today. According to the United Nations, the impacts of global warming are far more profound, as "each increment of warming results in rapidly escalating hazards, such as more intense heatwaves, heavier rainfall, and other weather extremes that increase risks for human health and ecosystems", and adds "climate-driven food and water insecurity is expected to increase with increased warming." Global warming is not only an environmental issue, but also an issue that threatens global survival as its impacts include: threatened food production, potential infrastructural damage due to rising sea levels, and other economic impacts. Even though the possible actions mentioned in the article will play a critical role in deciding the future of our planet, they challenge today's current methods, practices, and ways of life, making global warming the biggest issue our world is facing today. Moreover, when taking a glance at the international relationships and political tensions between countries, the required cooperation and commitment makes this task nearly impossible.

Although the issue of global warming is very urgent, I still agree with Brandon with the fact that the food crisis is posing a more critical problem. In order to combat global warming, it would take the cooperation of all governmental entities around the world which is simply impossible. The food crisis is a much more manageable and important problem since people are struggling to live every single day due to this issue. According to charitymeals.org, it would take around 37 billion dollars in order to combat chronic hunger. On the other hand, according to globalgiving.org, it would take anywhere from 300 billion to 50 trillion dollars to combat and defeat global warming. Overall, the international food crisis poses a more manageable yet unfortunate threat to lives everywhere, therefore it is our world's biggest problem.

The biggest issue facing our world today is pollution whether it be air pollution or water pollution. Air pollution is very harmful as it can harm people's health and damage the environment. The terrible truth is we can't see or smell if the air is heavily polluted. Our lungs are slowly decaying causing major risk for death. All types of pollution is horrendous as it slowly destroys our earth creating an environment not substantial for us to live in, may be causing the downfall of humanity or life on earth. As each type of pollution affects something very important for us to live in, such as air or water which both are required for the body to live. We need to take a step in the right direction to stop pollution or else we harm ourselves and dear earth.

The biggest issue facing our world today is inflation with the negative impacts it eventually leads to. For instance, The Harvard Gazette states that in the United States of America, inflation affects the economy overall, impacts the population's finances, and leads to an increase in costs that result in businesses to increase production and prices overall, which may lead to an economic recession. As inflation includes the increase of rates of goods and services over a period of time, it reduces the purchases made by the population and increases costs for living, which affects people that are paid low wages. Also, with inflation businesses may cut off jobs with the money present, leading to unemployment and decreased economic growth overall. With no economic growth, living standards of people cannot be improved, the supply of goods and services do not increase, and the availability of jobs decline. Therefore, with no economic growth, globally, international trade declines and the stability of country economies suffer, which eventually leads to recession(decline in the economy), reducing innovation and production in the world. Overall, inflation is the biggest issue in out world today as it leads to economy decline and financial problems to the population.

The biggest problem our world is facing today is pollution. Pollution offers not onlt long term consequences but long term ones too, with most pollution coming from humans doing everyday tasks. According to Natural Geographic, just one type of pollution, air pollution, is enough to give lung cancer, create acid rain that destroys environments, and create greenhouse gasses that have been instrumental in starting climate change. All of this pollution, which is just one of the three ttypes, stems from humans clearing forests, driving fossil fuel needing cars, factories, etc. Pollution has the oppurtunity to destroy the health of humans and the ecosystem and facilitates global warning, making it an important issue since it targets people and the world.

The loss of biodiversity is one of the most significant problems facing our planet right now. According to an article in Iberdrola, "The alteration and destruction of habitats puts thousands of species in danger of extinction." Human activities are increasingly converting natural habitats into agricultural land, urban areas, and industrial zones as they expand. For example, deforestation plays a critical role in the extinction of species in tropical rainforests, which are home to over half of all terrestrial species on Earth. Stopping biodiversity loss and ensuring the sustainability of ecosystems for future generations requires reducing human impact on the environment, restoring and protecting natural habitats, and reducing climate change.

The biggest issue facing our world today is global warming. According to NASA, the global temperature has already increased by two degrees F and scientists predict that it will continue to rise in the next few decades. We already feel the intensity of the Texas heat, going out for just a few seconds just to feel the impact of the sun. With the increased emissions of greenhouse gasses, it'll be even harder to beat the heat. Due to the increase of heat is also causes droughts and fuels natural disasters such as wildfires which causes many casualties and destroyed homes. If greenhouse gas emissions are reduced to a safer level for the earth.

The biggest issue facing our world today is global warming.Global warming has many effects, like the icebergs melting in the arctic and the arctic animals loosing their home.According to Marine Mammal Commision "animals rely on the ice to survive", showing how without the icebergs survival of the animals is much harder. The icebergs melting lead to sea levels rising which will eventually affect humans.

One of the biggest issues our world faces today is climate change. According to World Health Organization, "Climate change affects food availability, quality and diversity, exacerbating food and nutrition crises." Air pollution, diseases and extreme weather events are all factors in health risks. There is also increased hunger and starvation in places where crops and food cannot be grown causing a decreasing rate of population. Climate change is affecting biodiversity, the food/water we drink and eat, the air we breathe, and the weather we experience.

The biggest issue facing our world today is the depletion of natural resources. According to ScienceDirect, due to "population increase and technological advancement, natural resources are depleting at an exponential rate, resulting in a substantial decrease in environmental quality". Humanity's dependence on natural resources are growing more than ever and relying on other countries will slowly meet its end as many nonrenewable resources are being used up faster than it can recover. With the lack of available resources, this can also affect other parts of the world like the global economy and the environmental sustainability. The lack of natural resources will raise the price as the demand gets higher, pushing for the destruction of more ecosystems and risk of other organisms losing their homes. Due to the rising demand for natural resources and the reducing availability for them that affects the global economy and environment, the depletion of natural resources is the biggest issue our world has today.

The biggest issue facing our world today is the lack of action by many powerful governments. According to an article from World Economic Forum, "rising polarization, nationalism, corruption, lack of political will and insular political agendas have combined to reduce the viability of many multilateral solutions to global problems." Many of the world's problems, such as global warming, can be solved with coherent and active participation in finding and targeting solutions. As they not only represent the country but also initiate laws and lead their nation, the government has a lot of power that they can use to fund projects, like reducing carbon emissions or cleansing the atmosphere, or enact procedures to their citizens for nationwide participation. If each nation's government acts on the issues the world faces today, solutions will arise and quickly take affect.

The biggest issue facing our world today is Global warming. According to NASA, the global temperature has increased by 1.4C with the Arctic sea ice decreasing by 12.2% per decade since 1979. With increased emissions and other greenhouse gases, it can be felt how the temperature is increasing and can threaten human health and safety. Climate changes may also expose more people to diseases and resource scarcity. In conclusion, global warming is a heavy threat to the world today as it is increasing rapidly with the increased heat-trapping greenhouse gases and causing human health issues, significant ecosystem challenges, geographic challenges due to ice melting, and various other effects that can be severely threatening in the long term.

The biggest issue facing our world today is global warming because of the ever-lasting effects that danger life. According to NASA, there are many negative effects such as longer heat waves, ice melting, and sea levels rising. Because of the emission of several greenhouse gases, the earth is getting warmer and it affects the habitats of many animals. For example, animals who rely on ice now have to deal with the effects of global warming destroying their homes. To conclude, global warming is an issue that has many dangerous effects and affects us long term.

The biggest issue facing our world today is global warming because it causes storms and droughts. According to United Nations, there are many negative effects of global warming such as more destructive storms, severe droughts, and a warmer ocean. Many of these examples have already been observed in the real world with the heat getting progressively warmer every summer or stronger storm surges as time passes. This shows how global warming has a direct negative effect on the Earth through dangerously hot weather and storm surges throughout the world.

The biggest problem facing our world today is deforestation. Trees are a main source of paper deriving from forests and are not a sustainable material that can reproduce at the same speed of how much we cut down/ use. In an article by earth. org they describe "Destroying forests alters weather patterns, destroys habitats, and negatively affects rural communities, leading to food insecurity and causing irreversible damage to entire ecosystems." Furthermore, Deforestation also has a mass impact on not just trees but on the ecosystem within these forests. Forests along with animals, and food are destroyed. This shows if we don't act right away and prevent this issue we may no longer have forests and materials from these ecosystems to support us humans.

The biggest issues facing our world today is tuberculosis (TB), the deadliest infectious disease globally. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, around 30,000 people get TB and 3,500 people die from it every single day. It is estimated almost 2 billion people, one quarter of the Earth's population, are infected. It's prevalent especially in low and middle-income countries, where there is poverty, overcrowding, and lack of access to healthcare. So despite being extremely treatable, TB continues to spread and affect an enormous number of people worldwide.

The biggest problem in the world today is the reduction of innovation we face. For example, space exploration is being developed solely by private entities. And the medical field needs more innovation to solve the bigger problems including organ transplant waitlists. In addition, problems in the past created by technology were rarely solved by reduction of synthetic product use. So for global warming, it is basically negligible to say we should reduce our emission, rather innovative sectors should work to create safer plastics or machinery.

I think that the biggest problem we face now is poverty. Poverty affects a lot of people and it causes the Poverty paradox in the US. The Poverty paradox is basically that even if those in poverty get a job, this pushes them above the income level that is necessary to get financial aid from the government which causes them to struggle to pay bills. This means that they can't hold the job for long and fall back into poverty. Other than that, solving poverty would mean solving the large increase in inflation and adding jobs to the market which then connect to economies all around the world. Solving poverty which connects to so many problems should be our highest priority.
