What is a SAQ?
SAQ stands for short answer question. Unlike essays, SAQs do not need an introduction, thesis statement, or conclusion. One SAQ is broken down into three separate parts (A, B, and C) and each require a brief response. Students should use the ACE format when responding to each part. Students must write in complete sentences and can only use the space in the provided box (see example below). The SAQ is given a score out of 3 depending on how well the student responded to A, B, and C. One SAQ should take between 10-15 minutes to complete.
