Education must undergo a significant transformation to adapt to artificial intelligence. As AI continues to advance and become a part of our lives, our educational systems should evolve accordingly. This transformation should utilize both the curriculum and the methods of specific teaching and learning. Firstly, education should emphasize the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, as these are the human skills that AI currently lacks and would be hard to feed the information into that database. Additionally, students should receive practical training in AI and digital literacy to understand AI's capabilities and limitations. Moreover, personalized learning, facilitated by AI-driven tools, can cater to individual student needs and pace of learning. Forbes talks about how through AI, learning can be tailored to each students goals and abilities and can help fill gaps in learning. Overall, education should foster adaptability and lifelong learning, and prepare individuals through their education.

AI technology has revolutionized society as a whole after wide applications in recent years. AI can be used as a tool for automating routine tasks, but it also makes people lazy and dependent on it if it's used for decision-making. Education in this new era should evolve to teach students how to correctly use AI as a tool
and better prepare students for the AI-driven future. For example, education agencies should emphasize teaching students critical thinking and problem-solving skills. As AI is improving and getting "smarter", education should push learners to understand how to think and come up with solutions themselves, instead of relying on a machine to give them answers. Equally important, teachers or educators should also learn how to properly use AI as a tool, and adapt it to their lectures to make their lessons more interesting and more effective. AI can also be used to assess students and create personalized learning paths to achieve goals. Overall, education should evolve to introduce both the good side of AI to better prepare students for the future and also the bad side, which consists of ethical issues, and making people depend on AI for lots of tasks that human brains are far better at like decision making.

Education should change to adapt to AI by using it as a supplement to learning inside and outside of class. For example, for a high school English teacher in Oregon, the process of using ChatGPT to create essay outlines for various short stories "had not only deepened students’ understanding of the stories[, but] also taught them about interacting with A.I. models, and how to coax a helpful response out of one." AI is obviously adept at performing academic tasks, arguably even past the capabilities of the human mind. Moreover, using ChatGPT and other similar AI could be beneficially used to generate fast, detailed, accurate answers for a variety of subjects and bolster the students' understanding of them. Thus, the education system should embrace AI as a tool by letting students manipulate AI to produce meaningful answers to assist them in learning.

Education should change to adapt Ai by using it as a tool for learning by helping teachers and students. There are many advantages to using Ai which include improving learning and assessment quality. Ai has the potential to quickly determine a student's skills, weaknesses and help them require those skills. By adding Ai to education it will help students and teachers learn with ease.

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly growing, and making assignments AI-proof is difficult. New AI features, like ChatGPT, can create essay outlines, solve homework problems, and even design projects. Though AI lacks the full capabilities of a human, such as writing in context and providing accurate information, AI has allowed students to get higher grades while not learning as much. According to the University of Iowa, developing clear AI boundaries in the classroom is essential for allowing students to maintain an education. Additionally, assignments more closely related to personal events and things discussed in the classroom are less likely to be better AI-generated than student-made. According to the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI, ChatGPT has reached almost 100 million users. AI can enhance essay quality and allow students to see how their work can be better. AI can also provide a live feedback system that provides suggestions to teachers as they go about their lessons. AI enables learning without fear of judgment, as students can learn from online responses without having to ask a teacher or a peer. Overall, AI should be incorporated into stimulating ideas, creating outlines, and planning lessons, but not used for academic assignments, as it's general responses may lead to even lower grades.

Since the release of ChatGPT, which made the GPT-3.5 model more accessible on November 30, 2022, development in other large language models has skyrocketed. For instance, since then, two language models have surpassed its ability's: Claude by Anthropic, and GPT-4 by Openai. With GPT-4 scoring a 5/5 on AP biology, and a 4/5 on AP world history, it is clear that educators cannot just simply ignore this. The first thing that might come to educators minds, would be to completely ban them due to cheating concerns. I would argue that this is not the correct approach because, while it can be used for cheating, it can also be used to enhance a students learning, through detailed explanations of concepts the student does not understand and multiple choice questions, it would also be nearly impossible to enforce this ban. In addition, GPT 3.5/4 have unique sounding writing styles that are very well known, so students can not just copy and paste directly from the input from them without getting in trouble, although this will very likely change within the next few months/years. In my opinion, teachers need to adjust the way that assignments are written and require students to show all steps of their work to prevent the completion of the assignment by a large language model, especially at the AP level, LLMs can thrive, getting 4s and 5s on most exams, and only failing 2. This can be done by making the prompts more complex or adding a human element to them. Unfortunately, as developments in language models form, they will be able to do both assignments that include a higher degree of complexity, and simulate that human element; at this point, very little can be done to prevent cheating outside of completely getting rid of homework, and solely relying on in-class assignments where the students can be monitored.

Over the past years, technology has significantly improved, becoming one of the forefronts of society. This is depicted through the surge in popularity of sources of artificial intelligence (AI). In response, the education system should learn to adapt AI rather than reject it. Firstly, nowadays, it isn't uncommon to see students utilize online sources, such as Chat GPT, for school, specifically to finish their incomplete work. This promotes laziness within the youth cohort, which will be serve as a negative trait in the future. According to several sources, Chat GPT has received 1.6 billion visits in the month of June in 2023 alone. In order to adapt to Chat GPT, schools should encourage critical learning, as this will allow them to gain complex thinking and will help them answer questions independently. Furthermore, teachers can also adapt to this cunning edge technology by using it to create a better learning for students. As shown by the Washington Post, K-12 teachers were able to use Chat GPT to create rubrics, quizzes, lesson plans, and more. Therefore, the education system should take into account the cons and also the pros of artificial intelligence to improve learning.

The integration of AI into education offers potential for enhancing learning experiences and adapting to the demands of the future education. To adapt effectively, education should evolve in several ways. AI can personalize learning by tailoring lessons to individual student needs, provide immediate feedback, and automate administrative tasks. Teachers would transition into facilitators, guiding students in critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence—skills that AI can't replicate. Additionally, AI could help bridge educational inequalities by providing access to quality education worldwide. However, it's crucial to maintain ethical standards, data privacy, and digital literacy as AI becomes more prevalent in classrooms. AI should be used cautiously so as to prevent student's reliance on the ease of having AI to answer questions for them. As AI becomes more prevalent more websites such as GPTzero would be more popular for teachers to use to evolve against the use of AI in homework or essays.

As AI develops, gaining more and more capabilities, it is important to recognize the significance of AI as well as the impact it will have and has already had on education. Though AI has not garnered a positive impression in education, it is important for educators to try and include the use of it within school curriculum.
Firstly, AI has a lot of potential to improve education. For example, the quality of learning can be improved through AI’s potential to enhance personalized learning for students, ensuring that each student’s needs are met. AI can also provide feedback and suggestions for teachers. As of now, many students have incorporated the use of AI into their schoolwork, using it to do things such as create essay outlines, answer homework questions, and provide feedback on writing. Through this, AI has proved itself as a successful assistive/supportive technology in education. However, it is important to note that too much use of AI can lead to dependence on it and laziness.
Education should also change to emphasize critical-thinking and problem-solving skills as well as creativity, as AI currently lacks these abilities. In the future, there is a possibility that AI will replace many jobs. By emphasizing these skills, students will be better equipped when they try to obtain jobs in the future.
To conclude, education should incorporate the use of AI, keeping in mind its pros and cons, as well as sufficiently preparing students for a future filled with AI.
