ABOUT ME
I graduated from Texas Tech University with a BA in history and minor in education. Eager and full of energy, I began my career as an educator right after college. I have been teaching for over 11 years and still feel that same sense of passion and enthusiasm everyday (albeit with more coffee). I have taught in Anchorage, Alaska and Houston, Texas which has given me the opportunity to be both the teacher and the student as I have been able to work with and learn from students of diverse backgrounds and cultures. I have been an AP College Board reader for the AP World History Modern exam and currently sponsor my campus's pickleball club. I look forward to another great year and hope that this website provides a useful tool in our journey together.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, cooking, painting, gardening, doing yoga, watching Netflix, scrolling endlessly through TikTok, and hanging out with my husband and two dogs (Teddy and Chewy). While in college I had the opportunity to study abroad in Rome, Italy and Paris, France which in turn developed into a love for travel. I have been to over 25 different countries and am always looking for a new adventure.
